caught a stray

I heard this bird on New Years day. I found it across the street at a long vacant house. I actually called it to my house with my turkey call, just soft clucks. I have no idea what she is but there are 2 bantam roosters running loose in town' Tell me what I have.

I figured it was a mutt. Looks like a water chicken only uglier.

The mutt started crowing last week. Sounded like he was strangling at first. I bought two speckled Sussex as pullets but I think one or both may be roos. Tell me what ya'll think.

How old are the Sussex? They do both look like males to me. First bird is still a mixed breed cockerel.

All three are roos.

I have a Speckled Sussex and it took about 7-8 months for her comb and wattles to come in.

They are a couple of months old. I'll call the breeder and see what she has to say.

If those SS are only a couple of months old, they are definitely roos
