I had 6 Isa Brown chickens that had been laying for a few weeks. Over the course of a couple weeks I had a predator kill 5 of my hens. Finally figured out how the predator was getting in and took measures to keep the hen house safe. Now I only have 1 hen left. I believe she was in shock as she lost all her friends and overnight developed wry neck. She is starting to come around now but I'm not sure what to do from this point. I'm pretty sure she is lonely and needs more hens. Would it be safe to ad a couple more hens to the coop...if so how should I try this? Or does anyone have any other suggestions. Thanks.

Pick a nice docile breed like a Sussex or an Orpington and go ahead and add some extra hens . she'll probably be very glad to see them .
