Cause of sudden death? Possible parasite? Warning: graphic pictures

This was a relatively young Khaki campbell (24 weeks) that was noticed away from the flock 2 days ago and not eating, brought her inside and tried to get her to eat & drink with no luck, she died the next morning. Cut her open to see if I could find out what went wrong, was initially thinking she was egg bound, but no problem found there. Saw a bunch of these small white things around, is that some sort of parasite?

Have an appointment with my vet on Fri for my pup, was going to show him these pictures then to see if he knows, but if this potential parasite is a danger to the rest of my flock I'd like to know before then. As of now, all the others are acting happy & healthy, swimming and foraging around.

From my experience, when I see those white lesions on organs after cutting open a deceased bird, I know I'm looking at lymphoid leucosis tumors. But my flock of chickens carries this avian virus.
