Yesterday I threw in the compost pile a huge plant of hot chili peppers because I had enough indoor. It had at least 50 ripe extremely hot peppers on it. After no more then an hour, my 4 chickens ate all of them. There was nothing left. It's french pastry for them.

And just to clarify in case it's not clear enough - there is no actual science supporting magical practices or homeopathy.

Too bad you haven't read all of the research available for this 200 yr.+ healing modality that the Queen of England and her family use. There is a homeopathic hospital in Britain, Germany & Pennsylvania. I have experienced miracles using homeopathy.

I was looking at this too. One item that stood out was a scientific study that showed the rats given grain laced with hot pepper soon preferred the grain with pepper over the plain grain.

When I was a kid, I used to feed stray kittens. My parents would not let me bring any of them to the vet.
There was this sweet kitten who had a swollen belly and one day I saw a white ascarid worm halfway out of his butt. I couldn't give him meds and I was not allowed to bring him to the vet. So the only thing I could do was to feed him loads of garlic. After around a week on garlic and minced meat he did not have any visible symptoms of worms. No swollen belly, clean fur, no funny spagetti crawling out of his bum.
Plants might not be the best medicine, but it's certainly better than nothing. Most of our medicines are synthetized from plant after all.
