Yes the bibbed ones are usually a mixed, although I have seen some cayuga ducklings with a little bit of bibbing that turned completely black once their feathers came in.Ah ok, so that means that all my bibbed ones are mixed?? I have some which are a light brown colour rather than black

just hatched some ducklings, some are pure Cayuga some are cross Appleyard. Does anyone have any Cayuga/Appleyard cross adult ducks? Would love to know what they shall look like!

So I assume you now know what they look like full grown. Any photos? I bought what I thought was a pure Cayuga (but I think it was a Cayuga/Appleyard cross. All first generations were mostly all black a couple had that somwhat yellow patch like yours (I probably should have known something was up then). Then in my second generation I got this handsome fellow. He was born yellow.just hatched some ducklings, some are pure Cayuga some are cross Appleyard. Does anyone have any Cayuga/Appleyard cross adult ducks? Would love to know what they shall look like!

I hatched a bunch of cayugas (I’ve had 11 ducklings) that were all bibbed but ended up entirely black cayuga colours could mine all be crossed with something else as well???
