Her body has a green sheen to it. She only has one little white feather on her chest. She is still getting all her feathers but i dont think there is a single solid black feather on her yet. They all have a green sheen.
id post pics, but idk how without linking them to another page.

TIA

Sounds a lot like a Cayuga to me.....but I wouldn't know unless I saw a picture. One of my 6 week old Cayugas seems as though she will eventually develop white feathers, too, and it's not uncommon for the breed to change colors throughout their lifetime.

If you are using the desktop (computer) version of the website, here's the icon for attaching pictures.

Hope this helps!

Thank you! I will get photos tomorrow and try to post them so you can see. And im pretty sure its a female duck, but sometimes its hard to tell. She will go from peeping to this raspy high pitch quack noise in between peeps.

You're welcome! My girls have always had shrill, high-pitched squeaks as ducklings, and my drake had a raspy voice, almost as though he was suffering from a severe and permanent case of laryngitis.

Most other duck owners have said that their boys' noises changed at about 9 weeks old, but I noticed mine right away at 2 days.

Oh, my pekin has a super raspy kinda peep/quack. Conpletely different from my other swedish or cayuga duck, whichever she is. But if she ends up to be a cayuga i will be separating them and ordering another female and a single male cayuga.
