Wow! Who would have thought. I thought rabbits were herbivores. This duckling was already a few days old, so maybe something else happened. It didn't look beaten up or anything, except (weak stomach beware) that its beak was eaten away by the ants. It was fine this morning when I left for work at 7. I found it in a spot where the 3 ducks like to play in the water that drips from a hose.

Anyway, seems God took that duckling and gave us 7 chicks to replace it. Maybe it died for other reasons. Like maybe the parents are related - we did get them from the same place/batch. ? ? ?

Still I can't wait to see you green ducklings.

My husband wants ducks. Maybe I can get some off you or some eggs. We totally need green ducks. It will be a while he wants to make them a pond and a "mansion". I still dont know where all my chickies are gonna live when they get full grown.
