The SOP in the UK is different from the proposed SOP in the U.S. One particular difference is that olive eggs are acceptable in the UK but not in the U.S.

I am sure there are other differences.
I found this https://creamlegbarclub.com/breed-1/ i think I agree that the comb isn’t right but it won’t turn red till he’s properly mature. It seems a bit floppy at the front though.

I found this photo of a 5 month cockerel for sale in England and it’s comb looks similar.

There are a lot of unethical sellers on eBay selling things that are not what they claim them to be.
I don’t think that was the case here. He is a cream legbar. I’ve had another discussion elsewhere and the British guy who knows about standards say his marking are fine is the quiff and comb that are missing the mark. He says 50% meeting SOP is acceptable and 75% exceptional and mine is nearing 50% I’m happy

My opinion is that it looks an awfully lot like photos of CCl / Bielefelder crosses that I have seen.

Yeah, he may not fit the standard but he’s definitely pure.
You’ll get the eggs you want. (From his female offspring, not him, lol.)
:thumbsup

Thank you. Haha, I do have his sister, so I’won’t need to wait too long. I think I will have a pretty egg basket from these 3. The olive egger has the same legbar dad with a BCM mum.
