I'm picking up my chicks tomorrow and I've seen pine shavings is the thing of choice. I have left over cedar shavings that I use for my dog's dog house and I would like to know if these shavingswil be ok to use with my chicks? I appreciate any replies. Thanks
 
No...not good at all for there respiratory tract!

i have always used cedar chips, never once had a problem?? i didnt know that cedar was bad for them. i have only lost a total of 5 babies, most of them were weak from the begining. this is from a total of 5 different batches to? i must have good ventalation?
