I can't count the number of sleepless nights I've had since February, when our chicken journey began. Not to mention all the grey hair.

I feel ya. Same here.. they've put me through different illnesses and sudden death when they were younger. Just today I found they had knocked over their coop ladder somehow so now I'm worried about them getting injured and had to secure it permanently. It's always something with the crazy chickens!

oh my. Good thing the ladder didn't crush anyone.
Since February we've lost 7 chickens due to various illnesses, Marek's, a sudden death in the layer over night - what the heck! We must be gluttons for punishment if they weren't so darn cute and entertaining! We have three new ones and are still waiting for our first egg. It's going to taste delicious, I just know it.

Hang in there! I've only had 1 layer out of 11 and the level of excitement with my first egg made the challenges totally worth it.

Dont worry they will be fine eating it I have seen mine eat scorpions with no ill effect !
