Billy!! How are you? How did I miss seeing you and your awesome camera in Arcadia yesterday! It was a wonderful day, the weather could not have been better and the chickies were GORGEOUS!! Every time I go to a show I see more breeds of chickens that I want.

It was a great show. Lots of birds and saw a lot of familier faces along with a lot of new ones. Congratulations to all the winners. We hope to see a lot of you at the swaps coming up on April 2nd and April 16th in Ocala.

Sunnychic... Great auction even though we didn't win anything because Freckle Face Farm seemed to have won it all. LOL
Looking forward to the show in Inverness, think we will finally start showing a few of our birds.

We finally made one of the bird show with our birds actually in it... We had fun chatting it up with new and old friends... Looks like we will be having YET another breed of bird growing up here with us

Hubby is a true U.C.C.L.
He told me to buy hatching eggs for the bator... So they are now snuggled nicely in there and maybe if we are lucky all 12 of the Sumatras will hatch out for us.

Hubby is already talking about inverness show (thats november) he is already picking birds that should go.....

He is totally hooked on the shows as well now lol

Think my oldest is wanting to get into showing birds Now that she sees all the different kinds there is out there.. Told her she will have to stick with one of the breeds we have for now and if she "sticks" with it then if she wants a breed we don't have we know where to start looking for them....

Congrats Vicki on your Reserve of Breed...........................It is always nice and more gratifying to win with something you actually bred....You have some nice birds and keep up the good work!!!!...
Mine have been in the breeding pens since Dalton.... OMG!! it was so hard cutting all those crests back....

We got some Sumatra eggs when we were at the show and 11 made it to lock down and so far all have pip holes..... just checked all but 2 are out of their eggs.... one quick question

hubby was told they were black Sumatra and we have 3-4 "white" chicks is that a recognized color? all I remember seeing at the show was the beautiful blacks.

And just 1 more question, I signed up for the APA while I was there How long does it usually take before you get any kind of info back on "membership"?
