I would love to have a trio please!

Great!! Now all I have left is 3 roos and a hen. The chicks were hatched in the beginning of May. This is also my first swap I will be attending.

If Tricia doesn't want them I would like a pair also but I can't take all the roos.
I already have one pair. Can't wait for her to start laying so I can hatch her eggs.

Hey Barbara, if you want them go for it

I don't have anywhere to put them right now anyway. I'm about to start stuffing birds in the bathroom cabinets at this rate LOL!!!

I really need my new coop badly!!!
How are the eggs in the bator coming along? There was an awesome deal on CL the other day. It was a HB 1590 with turner for $60. If I had $60 I would have jumped on it
roll.png
Cause I really need 4 bators you know..... I only have 1 running right now and only cause I have 3 chicken eggs and a doz. button quail eggs in there. Pretty pathetic. My oegb's, millies and sizzles just hatched a few days ago. Gosh are they cute
smile.png
Moved the turkeys to the front porch (cages of course) with a cage of button quail on top of them. I told you I was running out of room! I don't DARE put anything more into the brooder until I know my snake friend is gone
rant.gif
. If I find another one in my brooder you know what's going to happen to him! Wish I had another place to put it.
Oh, but I do now that I think about it - in the front room where the water pump is. Don't think Dh would like climbing over it to get to the water shut off though. His dad is infamous for breaking water pipes in the yard and we have to rush to shut the water off so he can fix it.
OK this has rambled on

Ok, That works for me. Now I really need a good home for the last 2 roos if anyone is intested let me know.

They are soooo cute

I got 3 blue wheaton, 1 millie and 1 sizzle
smile.png

1 blue wheaton hatched with his leg behind him so I hobbled him with a band aid and the next day he was perfect! You would never know there was anything wrong

I like it when things work out. They are snuggled up in the inside brooder with my button quails for right now. I have a snake problem in my feed room brooder which kills me because it was a mucho expensive brower brooder that I am afraid to use. Just dispatched another snake out of there this morning. I don't relocate them anymore because I'm not sure if it's the same one. Now I will know!! I don't like to kill snakes but I think I have been more than patient with these.

I still can't figure out how it's getting in there. It's pretty secure and it's off the ground.

I never had a problem with him he pecked me once cause i picked him up and i flicked him and that was the end of that lol

Alright guys, I'm ALMOST done with the new Silkie hen house! I just have to paint the roof and put the chimney/vent on. I went with a pale yellow, green and white. All I need now is a name....???

So what is the protocall for bringing some chickens for the swap meet? I am thinking I am gonna bring 2 cockerels, a beautiful Barred Rock and a RIR. And maybe 2 pullets, Buff Cochins. Really not sure about the cochins yet. But I have NO idea how this works, or how much to ask or trade for. Does the host charge a fee?...HELP!!
