I guess she's a bantam, about the size of a small pigeon, one year old. Tiny.

If I can't get an orp hen right now, I would like to find a blue rock or barred rock hen/pullet. Prefer something big and blue.

Well, I had it on my calendar, and as luck would have it, I am going to end up working on Saturday. So unfortunately, I won't be able to make it. Maybe next time...

I am bringing a baby sling to wear under my coat to pack my new babies around in. Hot water bottles, a heating pad and an electrical convertor for the car to run the pad. Maybe even an ice chest (heated) to help keep things warm in the car. I am taking every precaution.

I am not bringing babies, but getting some.

I can't tell you all how jelous I am that you get to go! I have been dying to add some wcbp pullets/hens as well as some columbian wyandottes. We have camping plans for this weekend, and I won't be able to come...but I've been watching what everyone's bringing.

exactly, and with all the egg swappin' going on.... and hatching.....gotta keep bloodlines fresh.....ahhhh who am I kidding, I am addicted.

Last night DH asked how often these events occur, kept my mouth shut, DS says not very often dad......

He was asking because of the cold, DS doesn't want to miss this either, lol.

Now, how to explain next months meet......hmmmmmm..... Oh, I got it.....well honey, we have all these chicks and we can't keep them all so.... Yeah that will work ..right?​
