You know what. I woke up this morning and realized I had went over the number DH said we would start out at for eggs. (I am only up to 19 birds) Sooo. Here is my thinking thanks to BYC....ok Silkies don't count as chickens their too cute and fluffy, roosters don't lay eggs so they can't count. Pullets not of age don't lay, so they can't count. I have 6 hens of laying age so by my calculations I should be able to have 4-6 more hens RIGHT

He needs to start a 3rd coop and some breeding pens (second isn't finished, lol) Wonder when I should tell him.

I'm up to 3 little Silkies...all different colors...and my lonely little Coturnix has buddies now.

2 more of the Silkie eggs are pipped, so I'm waiting (im)patiently to see what pops out!
