CENTRAL FLORIDA SWAP MEET - JAN. 17th

I have a question as this is my first swap. How are things set up? I assume in cages with tarps underneath for bio reasons. Do we all just park whereever in Kelly's yard with our birds near our vehicle? (lol on the yard). Do we wear name tags? What about the weather and younger chicks? If anyone could give me some pointers I would really appreciate it.

I am so excited and counting down the days.

Last time we just set up on the side of the house that had the least wind. Everyone parked out front and brought their cages to the side. As you stated, please make sure your cages have bottoms or you put a tarp under them and take all the poo with you when you leave! Last time I had name tags for everyone...I need to buy some more. If you want to bring a heat lamp for your babies we can run a couple extension cords from the house...we planned on doing that last time but it wasn't as cold as we thought.

I may need to bring a heat lamp for myself to use

Everyone huddles around the grill.
You know if you process in this weather, I think they will cool rather quickly without much help.

I am so wearing my underarmour ski longjohns.

All babies will definitely need some kind of heat source! Even a hot water bottle under a towel will help.

I have 2 boxes that I just got from the pharmacy at the hospital that would be great for chicks. They are completely insulated. I'll bring both of the boxes for anyone that has chicks.
