As many of Yall know dogs eat chickens. My dog has eaten many of mine. The new "season" is coming up to get more chickens. My sisters brought to my attention that dogs hate Centranilla and it is often used as a way for dogs to stop barking. I thought maybe I could spray the Centranilla around my coop and that my dog would leave the chickens alone. My question is if chickens are allergic in any way or if that would be a good method? Please let me know. Thanks.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join to our flock. I seriously doubt that spraying Citronella around your coop will deter your dog which will roll around on rotting corpses if given the chance. Dogs naturally see chickens either as prey or as chew toys, and once a dog has killed a chicken, it's next to impossible to break them from doing it again. The best way to protect your chickens from your dog is to either keep your dog in an escape proof fence or on an escape proof leash away from the chickens, or else keep the chickens in a predator proof coop/run. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck protecting your flock from your dog.
