Hello,

I just purchased Cephalexin to give to my Wyandotte who has bumblefoot. We've tried to remove it several times at home but it keeps coming back. I can't seem to get all of the infection out.

My question is - do I soak her foot daily for several days, remove the plug and then start giving her the antibiotics? Or should I give her the antibiotics before we start doing the daily soakings and plug removal? Just trying to figure out the most successful order of operation.

Thank you!

You have to get the pus out first.
Can you please take a few clear pictures of her foot the way it looks right now?

Yes, I will post a new picture in a little while (need help from family who are still asleep :) )

Hi @Kiki -

Here's a picture of her feet tonight. Both feet have bumblefoot, the left is obviously worse than the right. The one on the right had a small bumblefoot (seems to be healing and not scabbing over like the left).
