Certain foods toxic to chickens??

watermelons and cantaloupes are the favorite of my girls. I give them all the scraps. My turkeys like the same. They also like grapes. Any time they see me going to the garden they come running. Right now I'm growing collards just for my girls. I hope to steal a few for me.

When the girls were little, we enjoyed watching Noodlympics the best of all our fun games. I posted vid on FaceBook and everyone just howled about it!
I should make them noodles even tho they aren't little, anymore.

tomatoes are my girls FAVORITE treat. i like to buy the cherry tomatoes and squeeze the guts out of em. they love that

I feed my chickens all sorts of clean vegetables and fruits, I am careful not to feed them moldy or rotten food. They love apple peels, stale cereal, and crackers too! Just be sure to have proper grit available.

My free range mob fight over decomposing frogs, maggots in sheep and cow poop and the p[ig's foot that the dog had buried and then unearthed after several weeks.

If they remain as fit as fleas (and generally they do) on this repulsive diet, I figure whatever I give them is unlikely to do harm!

I do worm them, but have never seen worms in their poop.....the worms are probably afraid to go into their guts after the rubbish they have ingested,

One of my girls was chasing a frog yesterday.

When she finally caught it, the frog kept squeeking until she ate it. all the other girls were trying to get it away from her and she just kept running with it in her mouth and the legs were flopping away. Wish I had the video camera then.
