they have like tarpytype tops for them that you can buy but you need something better than that. i think i'm going to put the sides of an old trailer on top of mine. if you attach it to a large coop you really on need the three sides and i suppose you could use the fourth panel as a top? Ive put chicken wire around mine but i havent figured out how i'm going to secure the door yet.

denali's set up is so much nicer!! i wish mine looked that good!! i know those are some very happy chickies!!...as far as the top, i used chicken wire across the entire top of my pen, & i put some old aluminum scraps on the corners of the top for rain & sun protection.
