Do you all think that a ringed teal could escape one of these if so could you help me in escape proofing it i had real concerns about the doors because there are some pretty big gaps on the corners but i plan on rapping the bottom in hardware cloth to de predator it and the top in chicken wire and as a roof a heavy mesh tarp i will have 2 of these connected any help is appreciated greatly

I know my wood ducks squeezed out of the links in one pen.... Apparently some are made bigger than others. I got them back in and stretched flight netting around the sides. Mine are in these till I sell our other house and can build them their big aviary pens.
For the door I put wire over it to extend past the gaps.

Do you have any pics of this i mean the door is my main concern we are gonna wrap the whole thing in chicken wire so they wouldnt escape except the doors crannies but show me how you put wire around your door so you could still open it

I have call ducks in a large chain link kennel. For the door I wired a piece of plastic (from an above ground pool) to the outside of the door. I would think plexiglass would work also. It overlaps the handle/ latch side of the door into the next section so you only can open the door out. You also can usually loosen and twist the latch so the door fits closer to the panel also. You could also wrap the bottom of the door in hardware cloth then put a board or plastic over the bottom like I stated above to make it even more escape proof. Hope this helps some. Sorry no photos.
