Yep, & it was a oozer. Haven't had one of those in awhile.

I just put pressure on it with paper towel. Bleeding stopped in about 7 seconds.

In my case it was literally GUSHING so I had to act quickly. Chicks don't have that much blood in them The chick was malpositioned and needed help so her navel wasn't able to heal as it was pasted to the eggshell

The chick I had oozed blood down like a river. But I can see why you used the corn starch.
