I had that problem too. To solve the gap issue, I put a ruler, & a blue divider where the gap is.I think I have the same one. I have two do the same thing. On the in side the chick fall under the tray. I do like how it is a clear lid to see the chicks.
You can try it again if you really want too. It will be interesting to see what the results will be this time.JB sounds like she's doing good to me.
Mystery, I was thinking about trying one more time on the half shell thing. I have a new, bigger, more reliable incubator, and I'm confident I know what went wrong last time. These would be the only 2 eggs in there so I can cater to their humidity needs. Just wondered what you think. I don't have to try it, I just got so close last time and I'd love to see it work.
I'd love to watch if you do the experiment again. It was so sad to see ET die.JB sounds like she's doing good to me.

I’ve done my ancestry too and I really never imagined it would spark such an interest in me. My grandmother (dads mom) started the research 25-ish years ago before she began suffering from Alzheimer’s. I found her folder & completed most of it about 5-6 years ago. My dads lineage goes back to Harriet Beecher Stowe (author of Uncle Toms Cabin, & many other books). Nothing notable that I know of on my moms side. Both sides of the family can all be traced back to Germany, with one or 2 from Poland.I should do that sometime.![]()
