I am looking at getting more hens nd have been offered 2 white chamois splash polish hen.
Any ideas on what they look like?
Owner is unable to send pictures.
Thanks

I'm confused.

white is, well, white.

chamois is a buff color.

Splash is off white/light grey with splashes of darker blue or black.

I'm not seeing how a bird can have all those colors? I think you need more info from the "breeder".

X 2. If the "breeder" can't tell what color they are, or send pictures, can you even be sure the birds in question are really female?

Thats what I thought, I have never heard of it before haha.
I was buying them through a mutual friend. Im thinking that she may have forgot to put comas in the sentence and put '2 white chamois splash' instead of 2 white, chamois, splash and a black and gold hen.

Just to be safe I have found another breeder who has some healthy good looking hens available.

Thank you for your help!

I ended up going to a different breeder and got a tolbunt polish hen named (Dorothy) as a friend for our other polish and a blue painted frizzle silkie hen named (splash). Both doing well and are settling in nicely.
