I have two male ducks, four years old. Usually this time of year they bicker and chase each other because it's mating season. Never anything major. They also usually take turns being alpha male.

Recently though, I noticed one had been hiding from his brother. He also 'feels' lighter than his brother. The temperature has gone up but it isn't anything they're not used to from previous years. He'll spend hours, I'm talking 5-7 sitting in his pool. He's drinking plenty and poop looks normal.

I haven't personally seen him eating so I brought him inside for his favorite treats and he only had a handful of bites. The last time he had even remotely similar behavior he had nicked his eye (blind in that eye now) but I can't see any visible signs of trauma or symptoms of illness.

Anyone experience this before? Any suggestions? Is there supplements or vitamins I can get him?

^^^ that’s your answer.
It’s mating season so the ‘alpha duck’ is being more dominant, eating all the food and chasing the other drake away from his territory.

Best thing to do would be to get some ducks or if that is not an option, separate them.
