No carpet. Chickens just need a 2X4, 2X2 or a branch. Make sure the roost is higher than the nest boxes or you will have chickens sleeping in the nest boxes and the nest boxes will be full of poo.

The wagon will be very nice when moving the coop.

Insulation in the roof will help keep the coop cooler in the summer too. No bigger than it is it won't add much to the cost and is an easy job. I insulate any structure exposed to the elements.
