I know that certain people and animals have reactions to a change in their diets.

I just changed my group from starter to laying mash and their poop has gone all runny. Is this due to diet change or something else?

Yes the stress of radical change in diet can do it. I like to start adding a little layer to the starter a month in advance of when I think they will start to lay. Going from a 1 to 4 ratio & slowly of a matter of time (1 week) changing to 2 to 4 then 3 to 4 and finally just layer, I think that slowly transitioning them help. Just give them some time & things should go back to normal. You may want to give them some ACV with the mother in it to help them though.....
