So first all the hens were laying in only one of the 6 nests and you all told me that was normal. Now they have made their own nest in a corner of the floor and all then hens lay their eggs there.

This seemed to start after I added wood shavings to the hay but I don't know if there's any correlation. I removed all the wood shavings from the nesting boxes but they're all still laying in that nest place on the floor.

So remind me why I built six nesting boxes.

I could free up a lot of room for perches if I removed them.

Whadya think??

Well all my chickens were laying in the same spot and one that was at the point of lay thought it be cute if she lay outside in the corner of the yard and then of course all the others followed suit. I thought something was up when I didnt recieve any eggs from them for a couple of days. It only takes one hen to change everything.

If you dont want them to lay there try blocking it, that is what I had to do. It took a couple of days but everything eventually went back to normal.
