I do not know if this is normal or illness or nothing at all. I just wanted to see what your opinions are! Thanks in advance for your help.

1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.) No, I believe I have identified the bird with the problem, and she is one of my bigger birds. There is a possibility it could be the smallest pullet in my flock. The flock is 19.5 weeks old.
2) What is the behavior, exactly. No behavior- just a change in poop. There is an orange/red mucous color on the top of the poop yesterday and today. I have offered them sweet potatoes Monday and Tuesday, but only one has this change in poop.
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms? 2 days.
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms? Not that I have been able to see.
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma. No.
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation. I do not know if it is the sweet potatoes or if this could have something to do with the fact that they are getting close to laying for the first time (19.5 weeks).
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all. Dumour starter/grower crumbles, chick grit, oyster shell is available, and various fruits and veggies as well as yogurt.
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc. Normal except the orange/red mucous-like streaks on top.
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far? None.
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet? Whatever would be needed.
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help. Done.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use- Pine shavings from Tractor Supply.

Sorry- the photos are from my iPad. Have to get to work, don't have time to get better camera out. The color really is more orange than red. I think the photo makes it look red.

my amberlink had the same problem and with in that week she laid her first egg and the problem went away that might be it
