Change in Texas law concerning backyard chickens

Bummer...

.....but an HOA would have likely trumped it anyway.
I don't think so.
I talked to my HOA president and they said a law is a law that there is nothing they could do about that.

BUT it was not passed to a law in Texas.

In SC so not apple to apples but our area is unincorporated and there are few rules but our old HOA forbid chickens and any other livestock. Nobody has challenged it yet but often the HOA wins because you agree to abide by the HOA covenants when you buy your house.

This specific law was going to include something along the lines that would make it so any one would be able to keep at least 6 hens. Regardless of location in the state.

But it doesn't matter right now...the bill died.
It will be brought back up though.
