This new platform BYC is getting is another big move. I used to hate change. But I suppose when you go through enough of it, change becomes almost exciting.

I shrieked and cried and threatened to move in with my friend when we first talked about moving house here.

In ninth grade, I made a conscious decision to stop hanging out with the popular girls, who I had nothing in common with. I became one of the school nerds instead.

I had no idea what to do with my free time when PoultryLand crashed, I used to play that game on unhealthy levels.

(Ditto with RPs in GJF.)

Even deciding to leave my past behind and start anew, instead of grovelling even deeper into the crap I'd got myself into has done me good.

I suppose in the end all these things turned out to be good. I look at my journals from early 2009 and I laugh, because I thought that life would get no better and I "had it all" already, but I can't even begin to count how many things have improved for me since then.

Goodbye, old BYC. Little yellow chicks next to unread topics, you will be missed.

It's definitely going to take some getting used to... The thing that annoys me most is the light colour and that it changed my Profile picture back to the old one!
