Change of plans

Pics
I have some grow lights, too, & a seed warming mat to get the seeds going faster. I have four 72-section trays, with a grow light over each. The greens go outside (2 trays) when it’s time to pot up, and the tomatoes & peppers get split into two groups in the 4 original holders. Once I start hardening off the tomatoes, I plant zucchini, squash & cukes & they get the light. I usually seed 1-2 of each herb in the pepper tray as well, since I don’t grow as many peppers as tomatoes.

Delilah resumed laying after a 3 week- ish break after her first 2 eggs and my Welsummer (Piper) has started back up after a 5 month break. Been having some pecking order issues, but I think they're getting themselves ironed out.

The pecking order debacle seems to be resolved. Daliah started laying today so I'm up to 5 laying total (my March pullets being 2 of them) now to get through this crap batch of weather. Y'all stay safe and warm!

Started cleaning out the long garden bed yesterday, all grown up with grass. Shoveled out dirt, placed old singles in the bottom and redid landscape cloth, gotta finish the other half today. 🤞 the giant fire ant bed is dead! It's smack dab in the middle

Garden bed is almost completely revamped, I'll finish it up today and get pics. Prue finally jumped on the bandwagon and started laying again. And I brought home the new addition to our family yesterday, 8 week old male blue heeler named Rocky

Garden is done, but I've still gotta get some of the good stuff out of the chicken run to fill it completely. Also moved the nest boxes, it really opened up the coop, I don't feel so confined when I walk in there now. And if course a pick of Rocky ❤️

Good day today, we got 1 of 2 new garden beds done (they are 4x8). Hubby did a great job bracing them up to support the load! ❤️ We'll do the other one tomorrow

Been awhile since I did any updates, so here's a pic of my big Klaus, he's such a good cockerel, he'll be 1 in May. We're going to start the roof for the run this weekend, super excited! Got eggs incubating, but fertility is looking low so I'll be separating Klaus and 3 of his ladies for a week before my shipment of eggs from Colt comes
