Changed shavings-can hardly breathe! Affect chickens?

Anyone who does not do their homework on products used on their animals is at risk.

Manufactures and drug companies are in the business of making profits. The FDA has been weakened and has virtually become useless. We now have so much poison being pumped into our environment and people are under the impression that these products are safe.

I am a two-time cancer survivor. The medical profession now pushes the idea especially veterinarians that cancer is a NORMAL part of aging in animals. Excuse me! NO, it is NOT a normal part of aging. We have broken our covenant with nature and she is slowing getting rid of us for that hubris.

Anything that effects and kills any living thing can also affect you. We are not special. We are all a part of this ecosystem. NO, I am not a tree hugger. However, then I am glad there are some people who are willing to hug trees on my behalf.

You put a drop of something on the back of your cat or dog’s neck and wah-lah, the fleas drop dead in an hour and you dog is free of fleas and at what cost? Oh, excuse me…the drug company has done its own research and THEY say it is safe. Talk about letting the fox in the henhouse.

Let’s break it down and make it simple. You have just put a drop of poison on your animal’s skin and that is then absorbed into their blood stream. A smaller animal now sucks up that poison and dies. OK, what kind of time bomb have you just set in place? Will there be a possibility of a future blood dyscrasia and or a cancer?

I am not saying do not use these products. What I am saying that you need to be really careful and responsible and know what these things might do and then you make your choices.

As far as I'm concerned the FDA is totally out of control! Hundreds of thousands of people die because all the mainstream drs. do is give them poisenous drugs that are FDA approved, that clog up their liver and kidneys! What happens when your liver and kidneys clog up?! Cancer and other serious diseases take root and grab the life out of you. In fact, if the FDA approved it, it probably is on my black list not to take!!!!

-we use herbs for anything that ails us and have no trust in the mainstream drs. because they couldn't do anything to heal us, so we took matters into our own hands and refuse to take drugs.

Thank-you so very much for your concern, but I did study out FOOD GRADE DE before I ever used it. Will I continue to use it? If it heals all manner of things in humans, you bet I will still continue to use if for my chickens. Did you also do a study online of all of the "healing testimonies of FOOD GRADE DE?" There are thousands of them online.

If I get another bag of pine shavings that smells extremely strong, I will know better than to put it out for the chickens.

But DE definitely will always be a part of their regiment because I refuse to use something unnatural to kill all the bugs and parasites. Were you aware that parasites cause cancer as well? I also give them all organic layer pellets, and organic.....pumpkin seeds, coconut chips (both of which remove parasites) sunflower seeds, flax seeds, spelt, barley, oats, cracked corn, alfalfa pellets, a mineral supplement (along with the usual grit for both the gizard and egg shell hardness), cayenne pepper, comfrey, parsley, small amount of garlic, sprouted grains when I can, etc, etc, etc. With the addition of almost all organic table scraps including meat from animals that have not received antibiotics or hormones. I assure you that I give nothing but the best for my girls!
