Changing Coops

I brought home what I was told were laying easter eggers. After a few days of being in temporary pens I got their coop completed and it has been roughly a week since they have been in it. I presume there is a transition period where they go back into laying mode if in fact they were previously laying. They are not currently laying but my wife has suggested making a few changes in the living quarter arrangements due to some birds being more docile than the others. Is there any adverse impact here pertaining to laying? Thanks in advance. BT

Chickens are creatures of habit and do not take change very well. They may very well take 2 to 3 weeks off from laying due to the coop changes, plus the move from the former owner's place to yours.

Patience.
