Changing feed

At what point do I change from a growers feed to a layers feed my chickens are about 11 weeks old.

You don't have to switch at all if you like the grower feed.

If you want to use layer then I wait until about half the flock is laying. The instructions on most bags of layer is to switch at 18 weeks but depending on your chicken breeds that can be several weeks too soon.

In either case a source of calcium should be provided on the side for layers to take if needed.
