I am ready to take the 6 old girls out of the large coop and into another. I plan to put two 9 week old white leghorn pullets with 6 Buff Orpingtons and 6 Ameraucanas (all of which are 5 weeks old) into the large coop (12'x8'). Any suggestions for how I should go about introducing the leghorns to the rest of the young flock?

The faster you get them together, the easier it should be. The older they get, the more difficult it will be . . . my advice . . . get them together now -- at 5 & 9 weeks old, they usually aren't as ruthless as later.

Thanks! I'll get that done this weekend. The 5wk olds are still on chick starter while the leghorns are on grower pellets. Should I combine the two once they are all together?

The five week olds shouldn't need starter anymore, over a few days switch them over to the grower feed, just not all at once. So yea, get the 5 week olds on the grower and then get the leghorns with your 5 weekers together asap.
