Changing from pellets to grains, veg etc

I know @Miss Lydia uses nutritional yeast and because of her so do I now. When I refill my feed buckets which is about every 2 days I sprinkle 2 heaping tablespoons of nutritional yeast right on top of the food in each bucket. I don't mix it in so it gets eaten first. I like the olive oil idea though. I forgot to add that my ducks have never looked better which I attribute to the NY

I've been reading a lot of good things about the Nutritional yeast on here. I'm going to switch to that also. I have been using the Fresh Eggs Daily brand of Brewers Yeast with garlic supplement.

Mine are very picky to they only eat pellets and as far as treats go they will only have tomatoes and scrambled eggs. but that’s what I gave them as ducklings anything else they roll their eyes at.

That's interesting because I find that the crumbles I give them ends up the same way, as sludge in the bottom of the water buckets too. I've recently switched to the Purina duck pellets but I've got to use up my flock raiser crumbles so I'm mixing them together right now. I no longer put the food buckets near the pool and that has eliminated that happening in the pool.
On another note, I recently put landscape cloth under my pool and surrounding area and that has made an incredible difference in the pool water not getting so disgusting. Don't get me wrong, it's still disgusting but now its just poo instead of mud and food mixed in.
Well you don’t have 16 chickens rummaging through the feed looking for favorite stuff, if it was just the waterfowl they’d scarf the top right off. lol

Wow thanks guys for all your ideas.
The reason I wanted to switch to veg and grains etc is because we have lots of veg left overs and some meat too now and again. And I enjoy watching my pets enjoying their snacks :)

I have heard about brewers yeast before and will definitely try this. What other sort of supplements do you all use?
I'm in Ireland btw :)

I feed all my kitchen scraps to my ducks too (as long as they are what's good for them). I'll put it in a basin and start yelling "treats" and they all start quacking and running to the gate. I haven't fed them any meat. I've got 2 border collies and they get any leftover meat and sometimes vegetables too.
