Chicken Supporters - We need your help!!

The Broomfield City Council will be discussing a proposed new chicken ordinance at their meeting on Tuesday, February 26th and the opposition will be out in force.

If you live in Broomfield and want chickens (or even if you don't and you just want to lend support) please attend the meeting. If you cannot attend, please send an email of support to the Council at [email protected] .

I'm trying to get the same thing going in DougCo and would love to email the city council to encourage their acceptance of chicken husbandry.

Wife and I will be there. We're about to move to Broomfield (in a month) and really want to see this code change happen.

The City Council decided to punt the issue to the voters. The ordinance will be on the ballot in November. We have work ahead of of us to educate the community on the value of backyard chickens in the community whether they decide to keep some themselves or not.
