changing out pine bedding in brooder

howdy folks!~
how often should i be changing out the pine shavings in the brooder? its been 1 week today that I've begun this journey, it is soooo fun!

I change mine once a week, more often as they get older. That is for about 6 chicks In a 4-5 foot long and 2 Feet wide brooder.

cleanliness with food and water make it cleaner or dirtier. How many or few chicks and how large the area is.

That will depend on how big the brooder is, how deep the bedding is, how many chicks you have, and if you used large flake shavings or fine flake shavings.

Also, how successful you've been at keeping the chicks from spilling their water, whether you're inside or outside, and on your climate.



Does the bedding seem dirty?
