Changing the chicken law! (Glen ellyn, Illinois)

Hello! If you know glen ellyn, then you know that if is more of a classier toen and of course won't allow chickens due to some old grumpy people who are against it. But I am determined to change that. Down my block there used to be a chicken owner who hid them very well, and I only found out when I heard from a friend that he had some chickens, did some searching, and found them. Their has been recent buzz in nearby towns for chickens to become legal, but not much luck. Of course, closer towards chicgao they allow chickens! Has anyone had any luck to changing laws? Any advice would help to. Should I start a Facebook petition? Please help!!

I am trying to do the same in Carmel NY.
I started a Facebook page, then a change.org petition to keep track of the supporters. When I reach 50 supporters I plan to reach out to the supervisor or a town board member.
