Chantecler gender

Walk 'through' him, never around. Carry a weapon, as in a stick or that feed bucket, and bump him with it, accidently, if he's still in your path. It's not about chasing him, just going about your business without him being in the way.
Wear jeans and shoes, at least, or boots, so if he does go for you, injuries won't be as bad. I don't wait to be hurt to eliminate a jerk from my flock!

Well, now I KNOW my White Chantecler is female! Mine hatched April 28th and is still only pink in the face, not much comb to speak of, and it’s barely pink, and she’s rather petite looking in comparison to yours. Your boy sure is handsome though!

He is pretty huge! Always been the biggest and the softest

My cockerels from Cackle weighed in at about six pounds each, more or less, at nineteen weeks of age. I lost the notes from previous year's weigh-ins, so no help there.
Solo, my avatar, weighed 8.7 pounds as an adult, and his flockmate who lives elsewhere, weighs over nine pounds.
Junior, my current rooster, who was the survivor last year, and smaller than my favorite, weighs 7,6 pounds.

I have a cockerel from this year's cackle order, no pictures yet.
My hatch rate here this summer was terrible! I got a very few Cackle chicks, with I'd ordered more this spring.
Next spring, maybe a bigger order from Cackle, and I hope better hatches here!!!
