Charlie AGAIN! Swollen "foot"--what is it?

Terrie - I've been following Charlie's progress after reading the PM you sent me. By no means am I an expert.

We took our two rescues to the vet and he said due to their frostbite, they would be more prone to bumblefoot than a normal chicken. Bumblefoot symptoms are hot, hard, swollen or pus-filled abscess or dark black scabs on the bottom of the foot (or stump in Charlie's case). Sometimes hock joints are filled with grayish white fluid. Particularly hits males of heavy breeds.

The swelling looks really bad in the pictures, but I think I remember seeing some dark black scabs in the "before" pictures. Could be entirely wrong, but I'm just throwing it out there....

Good luck and please keep me updated by PM or whatever.
