Hello,
Please help.
Yesterday I adopted a 6 months old Pekin Frizzle rooster from a rooster surrender people.

Throughout today:
He sneezes a lot and more often
Nose produces bubble water sometimes
Sometimes breath with cracking sound - sound like a mucus on his chest.
His face might be slightly swollen, but I am not sure of this as I only adopted him yesterday morning and Pekin usually look a bit swollen around the eyes and face.
Sometimes closed both eyes.
Head is really hot at the touch
He is living in a dog travel box and it has this strange smell, I think it is from his sneezing.
Comb is red and stand up straight
Face is really red like comb
Eating and drinking well

Treatment today:
VetRX on comb, nose, and a bit in the mouth
Vitamin drink

I am not sure if he has Mycoplasma or just simply a cold? What medication should I give him? Thank you.

Edit to add that we are in winter in Australia at the moment

Chickens don’t get colds, but they get respiratory diseases such as infectious bronchitis, mycoplasma gallisepticum, coryza, ILT or others. They can get one disease such as IB, and it can be complicated with a second diseases such as MG or others. Can you return the rooster? That would be the safest thing where you would not infect your other chickens. Most respiratory diseases are lifelong and will make carriers of your whole flock. Tylosin, Tiamulin, oxytetracycline are some of the antibiotics that can treat MG. Oxymav is oxytetracycline that some use in AU. IB is a virus that has to run it’s course over several weeks. With the swollen face, it could be MG or coryza. Coryza also has a bad odor.
