I have a fish net for when I have to catch the juveniles or the subordinate cockerel. I've gotten rather good at dropping it in front of them so they run right in and scoop. All of my birds put themselves to bed at night, though. The dominate cockerel waits until everyone is in. Then I swear he goes around counting heads before he hops up on the box with the other silkies.

You could try only giving them a treat right before bed. I toss a bit of scratch in the run and after they all run each other over getting to it, I close the run. I come back after dusk to lock up.
