Really! Those are like both of my my most favorite breeds ever!!!! What color of eggs do they lay?

But those freezing cold winters …I love the snow but I can only handle cold for so long! I was so ready for spring.

Our climate is actually pretty mild here. I mean, it does get hot in the summer, but not Arizona hot.

It snowed for the first time 7 years this year! 3 whole inches!!!

Mostly work, wanting to bake but out of milk, cream, butter, and half and half.

They're supposed to. Unfortunately I got one of the rare ones that didn't. I also had two roosters that had really nice muffs and beautiful lacing. My dogs got to both of them though. I bred the hen with my lavender amerecauna and the lacing/splash, blue eggs, and beard were passed down to the chicks.

I do not have pics of them. I wish I did as they were absolutely gorgeous.

And I still have my dogs. They were barely a year old beagles. My dogs have a pen outside and the roos hopped in and couldn't figure out how to escape the pups. Now the pen is covered so that doesn't happen again.

Sounds like you need to put the dogs and the coop and have the chickens live inside!

This is Charlie. He'll be four this year. He also has a sister who is from the same litter and is named Lola. They've mellowed out a lot and have learned that chickens are friends, not food.
