This is kinda sad but…
I have a sick hen (Maisy) who I posted questions about, and a member told me I should consider putting her down. I’ve always been so focused on my hen who had bumblefoot (profile picture), so to hear that Maisy was really sick, could be dying, and was in pain was so heartbreaking to me. I really don’t want to lose her, but I don’t want her to suffer either.

True. I always try to save a hen in need, but if I can't and she is suffering then I would put her down.

So sorry to hear about your girl. :hugs Making the decision to put an animal down is a difficult thing, especially if this is your first time. You want to try and help them get better; you want them to live a long, happy life; and you want to have them with you as long as they can. But there comes a point when you have to put your wants aside and do what needs to be done. I had to put one of my hens down yesterday. Her health had been slowly declining over the past month. I tried treating her for different things, but to no avail. Instead of watching her slowly suffer, I made the choice to rid her of her pain and give her a swift death. Now, I couldn't do the deed personally because I have a weak stomach, but I was able to get my brother to do it for me, and that's okay. If your girl is suffering, consider her quality of life. Does it look like she can recover? Will she pass in a few days or will it be long and drawn out? Ponder this and make whatever choice you feel is right.

3, new Malays to add to the flock.

Yeah, my dad keeps saying we'll take care the Turkey on Tuesday, but then he pushes it aside to cut wood for his friends. So, if he don't help with the slaughter, I may have to do it myself. Which would take longer cuz I'm only one person doing it. My sister doesn't help with plucking anymore for some reason. She used to help out along time ago.

Added 3, eggs from the remaining laughing chicken pullet under a broody, due to hatch on the 18th.
Also snuck in a few Easter Egger eggs too.
