Ok! I figured they would be harder, but I guess they all have the same feather shafts.

I couldn't bring myself to eat a black chicken. Honestly, I think it would just gross me out.

Other then the mutation that causes Silkied Feathers, they're no different.

Studies have shown that Silkie meat has anti aging, & other good benefits. The majority of the silkies I've eaten, the meat is practically just all dark meat, no white meat. Their taste is abit different then that of normal chicken meat, it's both sweet, & gamey.
Got 5 on the butcher list this year.

Yes, it is interesting. So far the best source to get them is Purely Poultry, but the quantity is more then what I would need.
I've been using TSC Silkies for years, which are mixed LF X Bantam. So, just wanna find a pure source, that's not bantam mixed.
