Everyone brings one wrapped gift (could be a good or gag gift, depending on who you play it with) and places it into a single, anonymous pile. Then, everyone draws a number to determine who will go first. The person with the #1 gets to open whatever gift they want. Everyone after that gets to either draw a new gift from the pile or steal a previous gift from someone who has already opened theirs. There are different house rules, but this is the general gist of the game.
