oooh, black-eyed susans are definately warm weather flowers
when I went to the field today, It really was gorgeous, I was going to take the camera , but for got it. I can get you some pics tomorrow if you like!! I have a huge vine that looks like an octopus right now, it has gone wild!!

I actually like humid.

As a teen in Houston, it would sometimes get so humid I could pretend I was a fish swimming through the ocean
My sister lives in Paris, Texas.
Yeah, I really don't mind the humidity, unless it is cold outside then the humidity makes it WORSE!!!
I love the heat though-
living in Missouri spoiled my like for snow....the last winter I was there, the snow never melted along the back of my house till a week before I moved here, and that was in June, the coldest 2 nights I evver spent was that winter- 2 nights at windchill-75, I lived on the top of a big hill

WOW! And here I thought that Missouri wasn't that bad temperature wise.

...I never will forget the first lightnin bugs I ever saw.
We lived in Hannibal, north of St.Louis, right on the Mississippi. Oh Lord, hot......my first weekend there was a 4th of july weekend, and was 104 with 90% humidity- I had grown up in Denver- very arid.....
I thought I was gonna die!!! It was horrible, just as I got used to thaat, it got freezing cold for the winter, more days than not.

I built it with the help of my DH. I told him he was just muscle, this was my idea, and I wanted it to be my project, only say something if I am totally off base with what I am trying to do....................and he did

Most of it is as I envisioned, but there are a couple things I didn't do that I wanted to do, but I am happy with it. There are 4 chickens in there. My silkie pair and my mutt sultan hen Pogo and a polish roo.
