Babysitting my incubator.....like NICU babysitting! Arg!

I had it set up right, but then found the turner wasn't turning, so I took that out, but then the eggs were at the very bottom of the incubator, and it turned out that my incubator CAN NOT keep the temp up high enough if the eggs are at the very bottom.

So, then I put the eggs on something to make them higher......but remember I had been trying to get the thing as hot as possible so that the eggs could be on the bottom..... And raising the eggs up meant that where they were it was much too hot...

So I have been sitting and STARING at the silly thing... Turn off the heater, turn down the heater, open the door, close the door, etc etc ad nauseum!

oh you poor thing ..wonder why it isnt regulating right ..... how long are you waiting between turn for it to level out ?

I usually do a turn .. then wait 30 mintes to an hour to check it again .... then turn whichever way it needs to go ... on and on til its staying near right ...

Yep, I agree....

But I had to totally babysit, to keep them from cooking, I had to watch, see the heat turn on, turn it off....wait for the heat to turn on, turn it off....open the door if it tried to go over 103. Etc etc over and over
