I gues your philosophy is good way to look at life if you are raising animals/birds for meat. I used to be able to raise and butcher animals but as I have gotten older I find that I cannot do it anymore. I just have my hens for eggs and to keep the bug population down in my yard and they make good pets that do not have to be in the house.

oh no i don't raise for meat at all .. tony does though i think ...mine are for eggs and breeding more chickens ...

Good! I finally found out how to use the chat line!! I have been looking everywhere on the BYC to see what else is going on out there in the "chicken world". It is a lousy day today. RAIN!!! I have to go put all my "babies" back into the coop. Be right back.

np !! i will be around on and off .. its cloudy here and none of my guys and girls even came out of the coop into the run today ... they dont care for cloudy weather lol

That's why I fell asleep after my late lunch- sorry bout that, I was gonna come on and post it when I texted with you earlier, but I was so freakin tired, I guess, I fell asleep......

2 BLT's didn't help with the staying awake either, I guess...,..I got full and passed out

i am so excited I actually feel like I got something accomplished today!!!!!!
My agenda for tomorrow is to finish the duck area, now that the hard part is done,and I have to drive to town and do laundry

I am so glad you got a chickie- and it is sooooo cute!!!!!

What does everyone think? Will the ducks like that? They better, or they'll be dinner.....LOL

Any ideas on filter system? it is only about 100 gallons. Any ideas would be helpful!!

Not sure about a filter system ... i wondered what happened lol my phone died so i got on here looking for ya !!! but good work !!! im sure they will love it ... and yes it is a JG and a lonely baby but I had to do a quick open to candle the rest and mark them and turn them the right way to hatch ...and two of the first batch looked to be internally pipped so maybe it wont be alone for long !!! misted to keep the humidity up and i set the others for lock down !!! looked like some of them might be internally pipped as well now for the LONG wait and worry lol
